Here is a list of the many techniques rooted in Traditional East Asian Medicine that we use in practice. Please understand that each practitioner is different and unique in their own treatment styles, and not all practitioners use these all these treatment techniques.
Acupuncture
An ancient technique developed over millennia, using thin pin-like needles placed at specific points on the body to help support the body's natural function by restoring balance to the body systems.
Facial Acupuncture
An ancient treatment that has become a popular modern modality in bringing a youthful glow and appearance to the face and neck.
Electro-Acupuncture
Modern Acupuncture technique using electrical current through the needles to invigorate and stimulate at specific acupuncture point sites.
Herbal Medicine
Foundationally, we work with Chinese and East Asian herbs, used internally or topically, to best support your needs. Offered in the form of tea herbs, powder mixes, pills, tinctures, salves, plasters, liniments, and more.
Tui Na
Chinese Medical Bodywork that promotes healing by moving Qi, Blood, and Body Fluids. Hands-on technique that improves overall well being and is therapeutic for musculoskeletal pains, digestion, and many other issues.
Cupping & Gua Sha
Technique used on the skin surface to help heal by moving the Qi and Blood. Cups are made of glass or silicone and have a suction affect. Gua Sha involves scraping tools made of stone or metal. Used to alleviate pains, inflammation, and improve circulation.
Ear Seeds or Tacks
Small stickers with small varicella herb that looks like a seed, a small metal ball, or tiny needle similar to a tack. Used on the ears or other acupuncture points that can be worn for several days.
Moxibustion
Therapeutic burning of mugwort, directly or indirectly, on specific areas of the body. A warming technique used to support the body's natural ability of healing.
Tei Shin
Japanese technique that is non-insertive and uses tools of metal or stone on the surface of the body.
